DJ MIX. From Trenton, NJ. I began to DJ in 1981 at the age of 14 at family functions. I joined my uncle's DJ group, Wee Jam Productions where I learned how to scratch and blend music. Unable to attend many adult events, I parted ways with Wee Jam and joined a DJ club at Trenton Central High School during my sophomore year. A year later I moved with my father to Maryland. My father also a DJ had a group called Superior Force and a teen club called The Club House. I was brought on and became the premier DJ with my skills I learned in NJ and became manager at the age of 15.

 

Soon I would return to NJ and went to re-join the DJ Club but it was no longer available. The head of the former club saw my strong desire to DJ and invited me to join his group Crown Disco Enterprises. Djing hundreds of events all over NJ and this being a well respect and professional company, I learned so much from programming music, running a light show, receiving artist, running sound and of course Djing. My popularity grew and soon I became a featured and highly requested DJ. To improve my talent I brought my own DJ equipment and formed my own group Street Noise Disco.

 

After graduating high school I parted ways with Crown Disco and continued with Street Noise Disco, later forming the rap group Superior Force. After a short run the group split up however, since I wrote most of the rhymes, I decided to become a rapper and DJ. I moved back to Maryland in 1988 shopping my demo to local industry personal and signed a one year contract with Casual Cat Records. In 1989 I released my single, “Pump That House” along with B-side “Rap Hardcore.” A local hit, I performed with hip hop greats Queen Latifah, Big Daddy Kane, Fat Joe, Jay Z, 3rd Base, EPMD, Poor Righteous Teachers, Digital Underground along with Tupac to name a few. I DJ with celebrity DJs Lady B, Biz Markie, DJ Clark Kent, DJ Mr. C, DJ Father Shaheed, DJ Ron G, DJ Reggie Reg, and DJ Reddy Red of the Gheto Boys.
